Abstract

The article presents theoretical studies of the process of wear of the jaws of the clamping collets of multi-spindle
lathes. The wear of the sponges ZC is considered in two separate schemes at different ratios of the diameter of the rod d and
the diameter of the hole of the collet do. Simplified diagrams for determining the contact area of the clamping element and the
workpiece are given. The formulas for approximate determination of the contact areas of the clamping element with the
workpiece are derived. The dependence is deduced, which makes it possible to determine the total wear of the ZC sponges
before its failure at a given number of cycles of ZC operation, taking into account the total length of the rod
