implementation of control. The distribution and mechanism of the sound wave on the object to be controlled is given with the
separation of the mathematical component, describes the physical aspect which is the fundamental basis of modern digital
ultrasonic flaw detection. A detailed description of sound waves used in digital flaw detection is given. It is emphasized that
the distance traveled by a wave of a given frequency and energy level depends on the material from which it propagates. And
the factors that determine the distance over which the sound wave will travel in a particular environment include the
propagation of the beam, attenuation and scattering. The structural component of an ultrasonic flaw detector is described,
which consists of an ultrasonic generator / receiver, hardware and software for capturing, as well as signal analysis, a
waveform display and a data logging module. The scope of application of all types of ultrasonic transducers used in
applications for defect detection is given and substantiated. The methodology of ultrasonic flaw detection is gradually
revealed. It is noted that in some specialized cases, testing is performed in the mode of through transmission, when the sound
energy passes between two transducers located on opposite sides of the test sample. The types of defects traced during the
inspection and the effect of the beam on each of these types are determined. As a basis for further research, the application of
the multi-type scheme was chosen, which is currently a priority development that can improve some controls and increase the
accuracy of analysis.
