Abstract

Friction treatment refers to methods of surface strengthening (hardening) using highly concentrated energy sources during which a strengthen layer with a nanocrystalline structure is formed. To intensify the hardening process on the working surface of the tool formed transverse grooves, which increase the shear deformation of the metal and affect the formation of quality parameters of the treated surface and surface layer. The calculation scheme of the elastic system of the machine to carrying out friction processing is developed. The mathematical model for the study dynamic processes that take place during the frictional treatment of the surfaces of rotating bodies is constructed. The amplitude-frequency characteristic of the processing is obtained. The parameters of the elastic system of the machine and processing at which resonance in the system is possible are determined.
