Abstract

According to the tensile test results of welded samples, the quality of the joints of pre-hardened high-carbon steel 120Mn3Si2 was evaluated. The structure of the material after quenching from 900 ° C and 1000 ° C consisted of austenite and martensite in various proportions. To ensure accelerated cooling during welding, the samples were immersed in water except for the welded edges. During testing, the destruction of all welded elements occurred on the base material, which indicates a sufficiently high quality of welded joints.
