COMPARATIVE LEGAL ANALYSIS OF LEGISLATION IN THE BRANCH OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY IN EU COUNTRIES AND UKRAINE
Abstract
The materials of the article consider the main directions of the development of modern legislation of individual European countries in the branch of intellectual property (IP). Various ways of adapting the legislation of different European countries regarding intellectual property to the requirements of the legislation of the European Union have been considered and analyzed. The authors investigated that the legislation of several European Union countries, in matters of IP protection, preserved national peculiarities during general adaptation to the unified European legislation in the branch of patenting and the unified European patent system. We research the need to introduce into Ukrainian legislation a special Code of Laws on Intellectual Property, which would allow harmonizing the national legislation of Ukraine in the branch of IP with EU Directives and laws, was determined.
