ANALYSIS OF THE INTERACTION OF THE FLAX STEM TAPE WITH THE CURVED FINGER OF THE COMBINED PICK-UP
Abstract
The article presents the results of the analysis of the interaction of the flax stem tape with the curved finger of the
combined picking device of the round baler. Analytical dependencies are given for determining the parameters and modes of
operation of the working bodies of the combined picking apparatus of the roller baler. Improving the quality of work of flaxharvesting machines is an important task in the flax industry, which can be solved thanks to the improvement of known and
the development of new working bodies of such machines. For this, it is necessary to deeply analyze the interaction of the
working bodies of the machines with the flax stalks. And then, on the basis of the obtained results of the analysis, the
parameters and modes of operation of the working bodies of the machines are substantiated. The operation of various picking
devices of flax harvesting machines was the object of research by many scientists, but along with this, the research of
individual phenomena was not sufficiently covered in the sources of information. Thus, the combined picking devices of flax
harvesters with working bodies in the form of curved fingers, which interact with the stem ribbon of flax, tear it off from the
vegetation cover of the flax field, have not been studied much. In many well-known studies, such assumptions were made that
did not allow real analysis of the studied phenomena.
