Abstract

The article presents the advantages of the rolling technology of harvesting forest and agricultural biomass for
increasing the efficiency of forestry and agriculture in Ukraine. One of the most effective and modern technologies for
harvesting biomass is the roll technology, which allows you to ensure the preservation of high quality products and reduce
costs during harvesting and transportation operations. It should be noted that roll technology is used in agriculture for
harvesting technical crops and forage, and its advantages are sufficiently covered in many sources of information. An
important task is to increase the efficiency of agro-industrial and forestry complexes of Ukraine due to the substantiation of
the scientific and technological principles of collecting and pressing plant and wood biomass into rolls. The purpose of the
work is to analyze the roll technology of harvesting biomass and the analysis of the functioning of the biobaler for collecting
energy crops and wood cutting residues into rolls. The functioning of the biobaler for collecting and pressing plant and wood
biomass into rolls has been analyzed. A version of the model of a biobaler with a shredder is provided, as well as its principle
and functional scheme.
