KOMPLEKSÓW ŚCIANOWYCH KOMBAJNOWYCH I STRUGOWYCH DO URABIANIA CIENKICH POKŁADÓW W LUBELSKI WĘGIEL „BOGDANKA” S.A.
Abstract
The development of layers of small and medium capacity is becoming an increasingly urgent problem of world mining production. In many countries, powerful deposits are developed to a large extent. There are numerous reserves of high-quality coal in medium and thin layers. The most realistic methods of extracting such layers are systems equipped with mechanized benches with the help of combines or plows. Both have been used in the mining industry for a very long time. Airplanes were developed and introduced in the 1940s. Since then, it has been the dominant method of developing medium-capacity coal seams. Unfortunately, their failure rate, ongoing operational problems, and significant advances in combine harvester technology led to their almost complete replacement by long-cut harvesters in the 1990s. Fortunately, the development of static coal jets has allowed us to mine coal in seams where this was previously impossible.
