Abstract

The presence of a high level of environmental pollution requires constant improvement of environmental monitoring systems, including the development of new methods for studying the state of the hydrosphere. Since water is an integral part of any ecosystem, the urgent task is to study not only its physicochemical but also biological properties.

The article is devoted to the problems of developing modern methods for assessing the biological characteristics of water. The proposed information and measurement technology is based on the parameterization of recorded images of gas discharge radiation. The method is based on the possibility of detecting specific features of images of liquid radiation in the field of high-voltage discharge associated with the biological properties of water. Information and measuring technology tools provide quantitative features of image histograms. The method of image classification based on the calculation of the Euclidean distance between the medians in the brightness intervals of histograms is described. The proposed information and measurement technology provides a comprehensive assessment of the biological characteristics of water.
