INFLUENCE OF THE SIZE OF CRYSTALLINE POWDER GRAINS ON THE INTENSITY OF GENERATION OF SECOND HARMONICS
Abstract
In this paper, we analyzed the influence of the band gap and the average grain size on the intensity of generation of the second harmonic of AgGaGeS4 and AgGaGe3Se8 crystals. The result suggests that multicomponent chalcogenides, namely AgGaGeS4 and AgGaGe3Se8, are promising nonlinear-optical materials, since the laser damage threshold is large and the nonlinear-optical response is comparable to the commercially used AgGaS2 and AgGaSe2.
