Abstract

The study examines the prerequisites for constructing autonomous systems for reliable power supply with heterogeneous sources. Analysis of research and publications on the reliability of electricity supply for technological processes in farming has shown that this issue has received little attention in scientific literature to date. The integration of heterogeneous sources of electrical energy into an autonomous system requires the solution of complex scientific problems in the synthesis of such systems. The parameters and operating modes of backup sources are determined by analyzing the requirements of consumers that are powered by the busbars of the general power supply system and the operating characteristics of selected consumers connected to the busbars of the subsystems of guaranteed, uninterrupted, and quality power supply. The choice of autonomous sources is determined by the criteria for the effectiveness of autonomous power supply systems, including the required time for autonomous operation. The determinative factors in this regard should be capital expenditures and operating costs, potential losses due to power outages, and decreased quality of electrical energy. The article discusses the possibilities of ensuring power and energy balance in the energy system through the complex use of available maneuverable capacities of traditional and renewable sources. The effectiveness of the combined use of traditional and renewable energy sources in farming production has been proven. The article is a review of informative nature
