Abstract

The paper examines the process of integrating optical terminals into a network monitoring system based on the Zabbix platform. A detailed algorithm for implementing the Zabbix monitoring system is presented, which includes installing and configuring the server, installing agents, creating monitoring templates, adding equipment, testing, and configuring information notifications. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the processes of data collection, processing, and visualization, which allows for reliable control of the network infrastructure and timely detection of critical states. The results of the study confirm the feasibility of using Zabbix for comprehensive monitoring of optical networks, since the system provides a high level of automation, flexible settings, and the ability to adapt to changes in the technical environment. The conclusions obtained can be used during the design, operation, and modernization of optical communication networks.
