METHODS OF COMBATING UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES USING FIBER OPTIC CONTROL CHANNEL

The article considers modern methods of combating unmanned aerial vehicles using a fiber-optic control channel. The principles of their operation, technical features, advantages and disadvantages compared to radio-controlled unmanned aerial vehicles are analyzed. The main threats posed by these unmanned aerial vehicles to military and civilian facilities are identified. Countermeasure methods are systematized, including: physical destruction, mechanical damage to the communication channel, the use of interceptor drones and engineering protection. Special attention is paid to the prospects for the use of Artificial Intelligence and automated detection systems.
