Scientific prerequisites for the formation of the vehicle maintenance system

Abstract

Vehicles are widely used in all branches of the national economy and are an integral part of the productive forces of society. However, their maximum potential is not used enough for a number of reasons, and downtime due to technical malfunctions accounts for more than 20% of working time. In this aspect, the introduction of technical maintenance and repair (technical service) is important.

The maintenance system provides the entire range of work on preparing vehicles for sale, warranty and post-warranty maintenance, and restoration of their performance.

Scientific support systems have a significant impact on improving the efficiency of the use of vehicles, with the help of which the perspective of the development of technical services is formed, the latest resource-saving technologies and technical means are created and mastered, and the composition of engineering and technical workers capable of ensuring the production process is formed.

Increasing the efficiency of technical service services should be carried out in the following directions: theoretical – in relation to predicting the reliability of vehicles in operating conditions, during technical maintenance and repairs; in the organizational – regarding the formation of relevant production structures of repair and maintenance factories and their effective functioning; in the technological – regarding the substantiation of methods and technologies for ensuring high quality and increasing the resource of restored parts and repaired vehicles.
