Abstract

Road freight transport in rural areas plays a key role in the development of the agricultural sector, small businesses and social infrastructure. It is one of the main mechanisms for ensuring the livelihood of regions, as it allows for the rapid and efficient transport of goods, raw materials and products even to the most remote corners of the country.

Many rural areas lack developed rail or water logistics, which makes road transport the only available means of transportation. Due to the mobility and flexibility of routes, road freight transport ensures a stable supply of goods, contributes to economic development and improves the quality of life of rural residents.

Rural areas, due to their geographical and economic specifics, face a low problem in organizing effective road transport. While urbanized areas have developed transport operators and well-equipped roads, rural areas often remain isolated, with limited access to important infrastructure facilities. One of the effective approaches to solving this problem is the implementation of the “wheel-road” system, which allows organizing an integrated platform for monitoring and managing road transportation. This article focuses on methods of road transportation management to support “wheel-road” systems, in particular, on modern technologies and approaches to improving transport measures. The article considers the current problems of organizing road transportation in rural areas, taking into account difficult road conditions and limited infrastructure. An improved method of transportation management is proposed, based on the use of the “wheel-road” information and analytical system. The effectiveness of implementing an integrated approach is proven, which allows ensuring the stability of transport connections, reducing operating costs and increasing the level of transport safety.
