Radio technical diagnostics of a car

Abstract

This article provides a brief analysis of the scientific field of “Radio Technical Diagnostics of a Car”. Automotive radio diagnostics is a method of technical control of automotive systems and components based on the use of radio waves (radio signals) to detect malfunctions, defects or changes in the physical properties of materials without disassembling or dismantling them. Operating thermal and electric motors are sources of intense electromagnetic radiation in the radio range. This radiation is modulated in frequency and amplitude by both internal processes of radio radiation generation and external influences. Using integral, spectral and correlation processing of a complex radio signal, it is possible to determine the main parameters of engine operation, the magnitude of internal friction and the nature of external influences on a moving vehicle. This makes it possible to assess the possibility of further use of the vehicle and to carry out its optimal management.

Thermal and electric motors, which are widely used in all types of transportation, are sources of intense electromagnetic radiation in the radio range. This radiation is modulated in frequency and amplitude. Modulation is caused by both internal processes of radio signal formation and external influences.

Integral, spectral, and correlation processing of the radio signal makes it possible to determine the main parameters of engine operation, the amount of internal friction, and the nature of external influences on the vehicle while driving. This, in turn, makes it possible to assess the feasibility of further operation of the vehicle and ensure its efficient management.

Key words: transport, engine, radio radiation, technical diagnostics, radio signal
