Abstract

Market transformations, increased competition on the market of transport services and the reduction of the role of the state in its regulation, the creation of many new enterprises of various forms of ownership have led to the need to provide comprehensive services and the emergence of transport forwarding providers of various levels.

In the course of the conducted research, it was found that the level of competitiveness of transport forwarding providers in the market of transport services is influenced by the specifics of assets and the scale of activity. An excellent competitive advantage of modern transport and forwarding providers in the segment of the market in which they are positioned is the possibility of doing business with minimal costs.

On the example of regional transport and forwarding providers, an analysis of the cost structure is carried out, the results of which show a high level of handling costs. Strong competition in the segment of large-sized and heavy cargo transportation confirms the uniqueness and independence of the consumer of services from the provider, created on the basis of technical service units. The function of which will be to rationalize not only the financial flow, but also the temporary component. In addition to the creation of these divisions in the territory of transport and forwarding providers, it is recommended to create a stock of parts that limit reliability.

The authors propose to supplement the method of analyzing the operational reliability of the vehicle by identifying the dependence of the type of repair work on the mileage. Optimizing maintenance costs as one of the main cost items will contribute to increasing TEP's competitiveness in the transport services market. Further development of the research on increasing the competitiveness of the service provider is necessary due to the assessment of the transport infrastructure, as well as the adaptation of this proposal for the 4PL provider

Key words:logistics provider; transport services; competitiveness; cost optimization.
