Integrated approach to assessing the transport efficiency of a city

Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the problem of evaluating the efficiency of urban transport systems, focusing on the development of an integrated approach. It proposes a universal tool for the analysis and optimization of urban transport, emphasizing criteria that include accessibility, quality of services, safety, cost efficiency, environmental sustainability, and social equity. The developed evaluation methodology comprises a comprehensive indicator that integrates these parameters, aimed at enhancing the understanding and improvement of the urban transport system.

The article analyzes challenges related to road congestion, air pollution, and traffic safety. The importance of using modern innovative technologies in urban transport systems is highlighted, particularly the potential of autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, and sensor networks.

The main focus of the research is on developing a methodology for evaluating the comprehensive efficiency of urban transport systems, including theoretical positions, criteria, and an analysis of the impact of various transport strategies. It explores the interrelation between the efficiency, quality, and reliability of the transport system, using various efficiency indicators to solve the set tasks.

The conclusions of the study emphasize the importance of a comprehensive approach to evaluating the city's transport system, including legislative updates, infrastructure development, the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, and increasing the awareness of road users. The article makes a significant contribution to understanding and resolving the problems of urban transport systems, highlighting the necessity of a comprehensive approach for their improvement.
