Abstract

The car market of our country is characterized by a significant average age. There are difficulties in providing spare parts for the repair of vehicles that have been in use for decades. Constant improvement of the hardware and software parts of electronic engine control systems leads to the minimization of unified elements and the reduction of possibilities during the restoration of their operability. When replacing individual faulty components, during repairs, it is possible to use elements from other electronic systems, agreeing on their compatibility in terms of parameters and characteristics and taking into account regulatory technical documentation. In addition, the updated system is subject to adjustment with adjustment of the work algorithm: editing of dependencies between input and output parameters with the help of specialized software. The list of input and output parameters is determined by the analysis of the main factors affecting the performance characteristics. In this way, the task of renovating the car's electronic systems, including power and ignition control systems of internal combustion engines, can be solved. The output controlled operating parameter for the power system is the amount of fuel, and for the ignition system, the timing of the ignition advance. As a result of the adjustments, appropriate maps are obtained for controlling the operation of the engine's electronic systems under the condition of ensuring optimal indicators of the composition of the mixture in various modes and conditions of its operation. The work proposes a functional scheme of the algorithm for the renovation of electronic car engine control systems. An example of the method of setting up the power system according to the well-known scheme of the algorithm of the software module of the electronic control systems of the car engine is given. The initial parameter used to adjust the updated as a result of the renovation of the system given as an example is the supply of the amount of fuel per cycle in compliance with the values of the mixture composition in accordance with the conditions and mode of operation of the petrol internal combustion engine. Due to the specifics of the procedure for converting wheeled vehicles operated on public roads, electronic systems of special vehicles may be subject to renovation more often. In general, the conducted studies indicate the possibility of restoring the performance of cars and their engines, in particular electronic control systems of internal combustion engines, through a justified renovation of these systems within the limits defined by regulatory documentation in accordance with the current legislation on the conversion of wheeled vehicles.
