The article is devoted to the analysis of the historical development, current state and key problems of the formation of a typological group of centers for prosthetics, rehabilitation and social adaptation of patients, as well as the justification of the need to create multifunctional complexes that combine medical, technological and social functions. Based on the analysis of scientific publications, international recommendations and practical experience of different countries, the evolution of rehabilitation institutions from craft workshops to high-tech complexes is considered. The deficit of rehabilitation services, the lack of integrated structures and unification of architectural solutions that do not meet the personalized needs of patients are emphasized. Particular attention is paid to the problems of interaction between medical, psychological institutions and prosthetics institutions, the lack of a regulatory framework for design and insufficient inclusiveness of the environment. The article analyzes the best international practices - centers in the USA, the Netherlands, Denmark, Malaysia and other countries, where the principles of a "healing environment", modular planning, comprehensive social integration and the use of modern technologies are applied. Separately, modern Ukrainian examples are considered - rehabilitation centers in Lviv and Vasylkiv.
The results of the study prove that the creation of a typological group of multifunctional centers that combine the processes of prosthetics, medical rehabilitation and social adaptation is a necessary condition for the effective recovery of patients. The proposed concept is based on an interdisciplinary approach, inclusiveness, modularity and environmental friendliness, which ensures an increase in the quality of treatment, a comfortable environment and the integration of patients into society.
