The study of the influence of technological impurities on the crystallization process of PbI2 single crystals from the melt. The features and disadvantages of the zone melting method for the purification of PbI2 single crystals are analyzed. A method of thermal distillation in vacuum for the efficient purification of the initial component of Pb is proposed.
