RAPID COLORIMETRIC DETEСTION OF CA2+ IONS IN DRINKING WATER USING A SMARTPHONE

Abstract

The paper describes a new method for quantifying the concentration of Ca2+ ions in water using a smartphone, which
allows for analysis with high sensitivity and reproducibility in a wide range of concentrations. This work shows the high
accuracy of the method of measuring the concentration of Ca2+ ions in the range from 0.0 to 7.0 mg/L with a correlation
coefficient of 0.9924. The accuracy of colorimetric analysis using a smartphone was confirmed using a ULAB 102-UV
spectrophotometer.
