ON DETERMINATION OF THE ACOUSTO-OPTICAL QUALITY PARAMETER FOR MATERIALS BY DIXON-COWEN METHOD

Abstract

The article specifies the Dixon-Cowen method for experimental determination of the acousto-optical quality parameter . In particular, the conditions under which the use of the Dixon-Cowen method for determination is possible without significant errors are formulated. It is also shown that in determining the effect of acoustic wave absorption in the test material, which is suitable for use in acousto-optical devices, can be neglected.
