Abstract

Using the technology of reactive sintering of nanosized powders, composite materials based on silicon carbide, containing in the charge from 1 to 8% (wt.) of tungsten carbide powder particles were fabricated. The influence of the WC content in the charge on the regularities of changes in the electrical resistivity and elastic characteristics of composites, determined from the results of ultrasonic measurements of the propagation velocities of elastic waves of various types using pulse methods, was investigated.
