Scientific profile of ACM Journal:

ACM Journal is inscribed to the category «Б» of the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine (Technical Sciences by Specialties 133 Industrial Mechanical Engineering, 208 Agricultural Engineering) maintained by order of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 409 dated March, 17, 2020. ACM Journal also publishes articles on Specialty 205 Forestry.

The aim of ACM Journal is to promote the development of research of both experimental and theoretical nature in the following areas: agricultural engineering, agricultural technology, processing of agricultural products, and forestry. Also, the aim of ACM Journal is to popularize the latest achievements in these areas.

Tasks of ACM Journal:

  • publication of scientific articles that contain original results of completed theoretical or experimental studies that expand scientific knowledge in agricultural engineering, agricultural technology, processing of agricultural products, and forestry, as well as that highlight issues of renewable energy sources and IT technologies in agriculture;
  • publication of review articles that highlight the current state and development trends of certain areas of agricultural engineering, agricultural technology, and forestry;
  • dissemination of scientific knowledge and best experience in the areas of agricultural engineering, agricultural technology, and forestry;
  • discussion of problems and prospects in the areas of agricultural engineering, agricultural technology, and forestry.

Review process:

The review process in ACM Journal complies with the principles declared by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Manuscripts undergo an initial review for compliance with the scientific profile of ACM Journal and author guidelines. In case of non-compliance with the scientific profile of ACM Journal, the manuscripts are rejected, and in case of non-compliance with the author guidelines, the manuscripts are returned to the authors for revision. The uniqueness of manuscript texts is checked using the Unicheck system. In case of detection of plagiarism, manuscripts are rejected, and in case of improper registration of quote, manuscripts are returned to the authors for revision. After successfully passing the initial review and checking the uniqueness of the texts, the manuscripts are sent to «blind review» process. ACM Journal practices «double-blind peer review», where the identities of reviewers and authors are unknown to each other.

The authors bear full responsibility for compliance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine during the preparation of the publication materials and their content, as well as for the reliability of the research results and calculations presented in the manuscripts. The published materials are the legal property of the ACM Journal publisher. Manuscripts that have not been published before and are not under consideration in other publisher are accepted for publication. The authors retain all copyrights and grant the ACM Journal the right of first publication and allow the ACM Journal to distribute the materials of the article indicating the authorship and sources of the original publication, as well as the right to place the electronic version of the article and information about it on the website of ACM Journal, on the platform «Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine» in the National Library of Ukraine named after V.I. Vernadskyi and in international databases, in which ACM Journal is indexed. Authors grant the right to the editorial board of ACM Journal to review submitted materials, check them for signs of plagiarism and deviation.  

The policy of ACM Journal on access to published materials:

ACM Journal practices open access policy. There is a system of free information dessimination of scientific and knowledge in journal. All content of the ACM Journal is freely available to the user or his institution. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles in this journal. According to BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative), using of the content of the journal does not require the permission of the publisher or author. CC BY license is used by ACM Journal. Authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions.

Policy of identification and consideration of information or appeals on violations of the requirements of the Procedure for formation of the List of scientific professional publications of Ukraine, as well as elimination of such violations:

In order to identify inconsistencies, as well as their further elimination, the editorial board of ACM Journal monitors compliance with the requirements of the Procedure for the formation of the List of scientific professional publications of Ukraine. Requests for violation of the requirements are sent to the e-mail of ACM Journal with the argument of the essence of the violation. If a violation is detected, the editorial office of ACM Journal will take measures to eliminate it.

EDITORIAL ETHICS RULES OF ACM JOURNAL

The rules for observing editorial ethics of ACM Journal correspond to the principles declared by the Committee on Publication Ethics / COPE.

Ethical obligations of ACM Journal Editorial Board:

  1. All materials submitted for publication are carefully selected and reviewed. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject the article or to return it for revision. The author should revise the article according to the comments of the reviewers or Editorial Board.
  2. The Editorial Board should analyze all manuscripts without prejudice. The Editorial Board evaluates the manuscripts properly, regardless of race, religion, nationality, or the position or place of work of the author (s).
  3. The Editorial Board should review the manuscripts submitted for publication as quickly as possible.
  4. Editorial Board is responsible for printing or rejecting a manuscript. A responsible and balanced approach is the basis of the journal's Editorial Board. The Editorial Board takes into consideration the recommendation of the reviewer – Ph.D. in article research area. The reviewer evaluates the quality and reliability of the manuscript. Manuscripts may be rejected without review if they do not fit the journal's subject matter.
  5. The editorial board should not provide any other person with any information about the manuscript. The information is only available to people who have a professional appreciation of the manuscript. After a positive decision by the editor, the article is published in a journal and published in electronic resources.
  6. It is possible to distribute any journal articles by electronic networks. However, be sure to refer to the source. It is prohibited to publish and distribute journal material to third parties or organizations on paper and electronic media.
  7. The author may request that the Editorial Board not involve some reviewers when reviewing the manuscript. However, the Editorial Board may decide to use one or more of these reviewers if their opinions are important for impartial review of the manuscript.

Author's ethical obligations:

  1. The main responsibility of the author is to provide an accurate report of the research.
  2. The authors of the articles are responsible for the content of the articles and publications. The Editorial Board is not responsible to authors and organizations for possible damage caused by the publication of the article. The editorial board has the right to remove an article already published. This is obtained when someone's rights or scientific ethics have been violated in the course of publication.
  3. The volume of the journal is limited, so the author is obliged to use the resources of the publication wisely and economically.
  4. The results of the study should be complete and contain the necessary references to sources of information. This will allow specialists to repeat this work.
  5. The author should cite those publications that have had a decisive influence on the nature of the work. In this way, the reader can study early works that are important to understanding this study.
  6. The author is obliged to conduct a literary search to find and cite original publications. The sources of the essential material used in this work should also be indicated if obtained by the author.
  7. Fragmentation of research messages should be avoided.
  8. The author should not submit manuscripts describing the same results. The author cannot submit more than one journal.
  9. The author must clearly indicate the sources of all information cited or presented. Common information is not cited. Information obtained privately, in the course of a conversation, in correspondence or in discussions with third parties cannot be used.
  10. The studies conducted may serve as a basis for criticizing another researcher's work. The materials suggested by the author may be criticized. Personal criticism cannot be considered appropriate under any circumstances.
  11. The authors of the article should be persons who have made significant scientific contributions to the work and are responsible for the results obtained. The author who submits the manuscript to a publication is responsible for the list of authors In an article written by several authors, the one who submits the documents and corresponds with the editors, takes responsibility for the other authors of the article.

Reviewer's ethical obligations:

  1. Since the review of manuscripts is an important step in the process of publication, every scientist is obliged to follow the review procedure.
  2. If selected reviewer is not sure that his qualifications correspond to the level of research presented in the manuscript, reviewer should immediately return the manuscript.
  3. The reviewer should evaluate the quality of the manuscript objectively. Perform experiment and theory analysis. Establish whether the manuscript meets scientific standards. The reviewer should respect the intellectual independence of the authors.
  4. The reviewer should consider the possibility of a conflict of interest when the manuscript is linked to the published work of the reviewer. If in doubt, the reviewer should immediately return the manuscript without review and indicate a conflict of interest.
  5. The reviewer should not evaluate the manuscript of the author if he or she has personal or professional contacts.
  6. The reviewer should treat the manuscript as a confidential document. He should not show the manuscript to others or discuss with other colleagues.
  7. Reviewers should adequately explain and reason their opinions so that editors and authors can understand the comments. Any statement that has previously been published must be accompanied by a link.
  8. The reviewer should note any instances of poor citation of other scholars. The reviewer should draw the editor's attention to any significant similarity between this manuscript and any published article.
  9. The reviewer must provide feedback in a timely manner.
  10. Reviewers should not use or disclose unpublished information, arguments, or interpretations contained in this manuscript unless the author agrees.
