NONLINEAR OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF COMPOUNDS TlCIIIDIV2X6
Abstract
In this paper, we studied the photoinduced generation of the third harmonic in TlCIIIDIV2X6 compounds. For photoinduced excitation, different types of lasers with the same power were used: the SHG Nd: YAG laser (532 nm), the fundamental beam of the Nd: YAG laser (1064 nm) and the IR microsecond CO2 laser with a wavelength of 9400 nm. It has been found that for TlInGe2S6 and TlGaSn2Se6 crystals, the ability to modulate the THG signal intensity is observed, which allows us to consider these compounds as a new type of nonlinear-optical laser modulators.
