Appropriate use of pneumatic and airless tires
Abstract
Nowadays, an important issue is the accumulation of used tires, related to their storage and disposal - it is becoming a global environmental problem. The creation of a large-scale processing industry for the processing of automobile tires is the most important economic task, the solution of which will lead to the development of the economic system of processing, that is, the improvement of the ecological situation. The number of small and medium-sized enterprises, the creation of new jobs and the preservation of Ukraine's natural energy resources.
This paper provides the reasons for the need for recycling and recycling of pneumatic tires, their composition and characteristics, also considered examples of regulation of recycling issues in different countries, calculation of income from recycling one ton of tires, presented methods of tire recovery and the economic effect of using recovered tires, and even their consumption in some countries. Methods of recycling used tires are described, an example of a semi-automatic pneumatic tire recycling line is given, as well as directions for the secondary use of rubber crumb and tires that are no longer in use. The design features of non-pneumatic (airless) tires and methods of their processing and disposal are considered. The purpose of the article is to compare the disposal and methods of secondary use of pneumatic and non-pneumatic tires.
