Аnalysis of railway work and pricing of the cost of transportation of grain loads by rail transport in the conditions of war

Abstract

The economic situation and future development of Ukraine depend on how well business can cooperate in the conditions of globalization to achieve a high level of competitiveness of products on the world market. The leader of exports in Ukraine is grain. Therefore, the development of the railway transport system in order to achieve the necessary grain transportation capacity with minimum costs is relevant for Ukraine.

The increase in the price of transport services (in conditions of excess rolling stock) is ensured by the reduction of their supply by Ukrzaliznytsia and the artificial formation of demand for rolling stock on the part of intermediaries. Whereas the real demand of rolling stock owners/exporters/manufacturers as a transport factor, determined by the actual volume of goods exported under the contract, does not currently affect the price.

A combined approach is used for the analysis, which includes statistical analysis of data on the cost of transportation and economic indicators. Data on grain transportation rates, transportation volumes, price dynamics, and other factors are analyzed to establish relationships and forecast trends. Analysis of the cost of transportation and pricing of grain cargoes is important for understanding the dynamics of the grain market and effective management of logistics processes in the grain industry. The results of the study indicate a great influence of the cost of transportation on the total cost of grain cargoes and their competitiveness in the markets. The high cost of transportation can lead to an increase in the price of grain for end consumers, which can affect consumption and food production.

The article also examines the operation of the dispatching apparatus, which provides effective management and coordination of wagon transportation on international and domestic routes, which allows for quick and reliable transfer of cargo between different railways and foreign railways.
