Advances in Mechanical Engineering and Transport is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of mechanical engineering, fundamentals of the transport system, technology for carrying passengers and freight, technology for multimodal transportation and logistics, agricultural motor vehicles, traffic safety and environment protection, design, manufacture and exploitation of motor vehicles, transport energetics, fuels, lubricants and maintenance materials, transport information technologies, transport economics and management, transport educology, and also, in areas of mathematical modelling and simulation of technical processes.

The journal is intended for practising engineers, academic and industrial researchers.

  1.  Author's ethics

 Originality and plagiarism

The authors of the article must ensure that they have written a completely original work, and if the authors have used the work and / or words of other authors, it should be appropriately noted by reference or indicated in the text.

Plagiarism takes many forms, from impersonating someone else's work as one's own to copying or paraphrasing essential parts of someone else's work (without citing the source), as well as to claiming rights to the results obtained in studies performed by others. Plagiarism in all its forms is unethical behaviour when publishing and is unacceptable.

Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time is unethical and unacceptable publishing behaviour. The author should not submit for consideration already published article in another journal.

The uniqueness of the text of article is checked with using the Unicheck plagiarism signs search system.

Authorship of the work

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, planning, execution, or interpretation of the study described.

All persons who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. If any person has participated in any substantial part of the project, he/she should be thanked or included in the list of co-authors.

Disclosure and conflict of interest.

All authors should disclose in their manuscript a financial or any other material conflict of interest that could affect the evaluation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be made public.

Errors in published works

If the author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his published work, his duty is to urgently notify the chief editor about this and cooperate with the editor to publish a retraction or correction of the article. If the editor-in-chief learns from a third party that a published work contains a significant error, it is the responsibility of the author to promptly refute or correct the article, or to provide the editor-in-chief with proof of the correctness of the published work.

Reliability of the presented results

The authors are responsible for the content of the publication, the reliability of the results presented in the article. Authors should check references to cited works.

In the manuscript submitted to the editor, the authors must indicate in which institution the work was performed and within which scientific programs the research was carried out.

Journal "Modern technologies in mechanical engineering and transport" practices open access policy. There is a system of free information dessimination of scientific and knowledge in journal. All content of the journal "Modern technologies in mechanical engineering and transport" is freely available to the user or his institution. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles in this journal. According to BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative) , using of the content of the journal does not require the permission of the publisher or author. CC BY license is used by the journal "Modern technologies in mechanical engineering and transport". Authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions.

  1. Reviewing

The procedure for reviewing scientific articles submitted to the journal:

  1. Manuscripts of scientific articles submitted to the Editorial Board are subject to mandatory review;
  2. The Chairman of the Editorial Board determines the compliance of the manuscript with the profile of the journal and the requirements for registration;
  3. After consideration of the manuscript at the meeting of the Editorial Board, the manuscript is sent for review to a specialist (doctor or candidate of sciences) who has the closest scientific specialization to the topic of the article. If the article does not correspond to the subject of the journal, the author is informed about the impossibility of its publication;
  4. Type of review - bilateral blind (anonymous). Manuscripts sent to reviewers are the private property of the authors and contain information that is not subject to disclosure. Reviewers are not allowed to make copies of articles, as well as transfer articles for review to another specialist;
  5. The review period is not more than two weeks;
  6. The reviewer evaluates:
  • correspondence of the content of the article to its title;
  • structure of the paper (problem statement, main part and conclusions);
  • scientific or technical novelty in the article;
  • advantages and disadvantages of the article.
  1. The reviewer gives an opinion on the possibility of publication of the article:
  • adopt article;
  • accept the article with minor revision - the author is sent the text of the review with a proposal to make the necessary changes and additions to the article or reasoned to refuse the reviewer's comments, then the manuscript is considered at a meeting of the Editorial Board for compliance with the requirements of the reviewer;
  • review the article again after serious revision - the author is sent the text of the review with a proposal to revise the article, then the article revised by the author is sent for re-reviewing;
  • reject the article - a reasoned refusal is sent to the author, the article is not submitted for reconsideration.
  1. Manuscripts of articles accepted for publication are not returned to the author;
  2. Manuscripts of articles accepted for publication, together with the text of the reasoned refusal, are returned to the author.
